Children are very important to us and to encourage them we
run the following activities for children and young people:

Sunday mornings @ 10 am:
- For pre-schoolers – Pebbles crèche is based in “the cottage” immediately opposite the church, and runs during the morning service, starting at 10.00 am. We offer a lively program of songs, stories and crafts. Children re-join their families in church in time for communion. Team leader – Angelina Watson
- For Primary school aged children – Sunday Club starts in the main church building and then continues in “the cottage” opposite the church. Team leader – Penny Rowan
- For Secondary School-aged children– Sunday Club starts in the main church building and then continues in “the cottage” opposite the church. Team leader – Linda Medland
Please note: There is no Sunday Club or crèche on the 3rd Sunday in each month, but babies and children of all ages are welcome to attend the family-focused 10am service. On the 5th Sunday there are no clubs or crèche.
Sunday evenings:
- 1st Sunday of each month, 7pm, “Chosen” is a combined Tavistock Methodist/St Andrew’s youth service with contemporary worship and an informal format. The venue alternates between Tavi Methodist and St Andrew’s. Ring the church office to check this month’s venue (617780).
- 4th Sunday of each month, 7 pm, informal, contemporary worship and word service at St Andrew’s Church. (Please note, February’s service will start at 6.30pm.)
Other Activities:
- Youth group (ages 11+) meets at Louise’s house on Tuesday evenings. Leaders: Alex Ewing and Louise Bennett.
- “Spark” youth club for children in years 3-6 meets every other Friday in Whitchurch school hall, 6.45 -8.15. £1 entry fee. New members always welcome. Leader: Sue Allerton.
- “Sparklers” club for children in years 1-3: games, crafts and Bible stories. New members always welcome. Leader: Vicki Austin.
- Youth worship band – if you can play an instrument or sing in tune, you’d be welcome to join our youth band! We currently play every 3rd Sunday morning in church and at some evening services. Leader:Sue Allerton.
- Puppet group – meets fortnightly to practise – new members always welcome (aged 11+). Leader: Linda Medland.
